Why Celina wanted to start her own practice
I am a single mom, and I have often seen how our healthcare system falls short when it comes to preventative care.
After my youngest son was diagnosed with autism, I was inspired to create the kind of care that I had fought so hard to find. It became a dream to start my own practice, where I could serve my community on my own terms and create an environment that could serve a bilingual population.
I knew I wanted to call it “Contigo Healthcare" - Spanish for "Healthcare with you”- because my vision is care that stands beside you through every challenge and every victory.

What was holding Celina back
Despite now having this dream, I was nervous and felt stuck. My family was telling me that I should just take the leap and start my own practice, but honestly, I doubted myself.
I didn’t know how I could possibly juggle it all: answering phones, doing charts, processing referrals, and somehow still being present for patients. My biggest fear was insurance - I was so afraid of all of that paperwork! I also was struck with indecisiveness - I had this bold dream, but I just didn’t know how to take action.
What I needed was a clear path forward and a little push to go for it - meeting the Corner Health team was exactly that.

And the truth is, I am proud of myself — not just of what I’ve accomplished, but of the impact Contigo Healthcare now has on the people around me.
